Yarnton Home and Garden

The humble garden centre is a part of our British culture. They’re much more than a place to buy plants. They’re places to socialise with your family and friends, shop for your home and even browse clothing brands. They are somewhere where you can make a day of it.

Yarnton Home & Garden in Oxford is no different. Its charming atmosphere is always welcoming and there is so much to do, it’s the perfect day out. Here are 8 reasons why you should visit Yarnton Home & Garden…

1. There’s free parking

Everyone loves free parking! With 100s of free parking spaces at Yarnton Home & Garden car park you can feel relaxed in the knowledge there will be somewhere to park when you arrive.

2. Enjoy a break at the Cafe

If you get hungry during your shopping, the family-friendly cafe is the perfect place for a bite to eat. Open 7 days a week, for wholesome home-cooked breakfast, lunch and afternoon teas.

Why not stop for lunch with the family or a natter and a cuppa with your friends. Whenever possible, Yarnton sources locally and keep their menus seasonal. They change their menu with the seasons and always make sure there is a vegetarian option. Bon appetite!

3. It's mobility friendly

Yarnton Home & Garden is a fully accessible site. There are free wheelchairs available to use during your visit and disabled toilets on site. Guide dogs are also welcome.

4. The grandkids can play while you shop

It’s lovely to take the grandkids to the garden centre. There’s even a special play area for them. The Magic Garden Play Barn soft play is different from any others you will come across because it was specifically designed for Yarnton.

Designed to resemble a magic garden, bigger children can clamber the two-story adventure playground over bridges and whizz down slides. Or they can explore the indoor woodland camp. Here, children can enjoy the reading tipi and sensory light tunnel. Babies and toddlers can also enjoy the calm and safe sensory garden while you can relax with a cup of coffee. You can even book a party here...

5. There are always fun events going on

Learn how to BBQ, go to Hampton Flower Show or join a gardening workshop. These are just a couple of the things that Yarnton put on to help create a community atmosphere in Oxford and we love this. Go with yourself and meet new people or take a friend and join in with the fun. Find out everything that's going on here...

6. Plastic-free shopping
