If you’re not sure where to start – we’re here to help! Take a look at these commonly asked questions to begin with, and if you still don’t see the information you need, please don’t hesitate to give our friendly team a call.
Every chair we make is unique - because every customer is unique! From the size to suit you and your home perfectly, to the style, fabric and choice of accessories, there’s an almost limitless number of combinations, and certainly too many for a price list. When you book a no-obligation home appointment with one of our consultants, they’ll help you choose something that perfectly meets your needs and leave you with a price based on all your choices. There will be no pressure, and you will be left to consider the quote in your own time.
You may be able to get a rise and recline chair on the NHS in some circumstances, but they will not be made to fit you, which means you run the risk of slumping and poor posture, which may aggravate any existing conditions. You will also find very limited style, colour and fabric options.
No, our rise and recline chairs are not designed to be dismantled.
A dual motor allows you to move the leg rest and the back rest independently from each other. This means that you can sit upright with your legs elevated for example. A dual motor also allows an almost fully horizontal recline which is ideal for short afternoon naps! Our single motor has a simple 2-button control that reclines the back section as the legs raise; this keeps your body in a comfortable angle at all times. Unlike the dual motor, our single motor facilitates our unique high leg lift position where your feet are higher that your heart, which brings amazing circulatory health benefits.
To sit into the chair, bring the chair into its forward tilting position and gently lean against the seat whilst holding on to the arms. Lower the chair down using the remote and then adjust the position of the foot and back rest until you find your most comfortable sitting position. To rise from your chair, press the footrest down button until your chair is in a standard chair position. Planting your feet firmly on the floor, grip the armrests and continue pressing the button until you are brought back upright.
We do not rent out rise and recline chairs at Oak Tree as all our chairs are made to fit in order to provide tailored comfort and support to each individual.
For the difference they can make to your everyday life, rise and recline chairs are absolutely worth it. Rise and recline chairs can keep you independent in your own home for longer – and you can’t put a price on independence. Sitting with your legs elevated also brings amazing health benefits which can help relieve aches and pains and keep you more mobile too. When you buy an Oak Tree chair you can be sure of superior quality designed to stand the test of time.
Browse our website to get a good idea of the kinds of styles and fabrics that you might like, then arrange a home appointment where one of our expert consultants will get to know you and your requirements so they can recommend the chair that will bring you the most benefits. They’ll help you customise it to make it truly your own.
